Why I adore Agatha Christie's masterpiece And then there were none

I love mysteries since I was ten years old. As a person who loves reading, my first touch to the great Agatha Christie made me fall in love with her novels. Moreover, she influenced my taste of novels. Almost 15 years later I still adore And Then There Were None. Agatha, as a queen of the criminal novels in general has written lots of masterpieces. Why exactly this story is my favorite? Because it was my first one.

I still remember the day I first touched the pages of the novel. It was on a snowy winter day. Sick and bored, I was staying at home having temperature. After three days in my bed , everything became so tedious to me that I started an 'adventure'. My mother also is a passionate reader and has a big library. Entering the room I noticed a copy of Agatha Christie's creation sticking from the shelve. Without hesitating, I took it and examined it quickly.

Once I started reading I was not able to stop at all. The plot was so catching and enthralling! Full of unexpected twists, this book will literally force you to read it from cover to cover. Agatha will make you experience almost everything form the spectrum of emotions -an intense dread, confusion, wonder, joy, Modern authors can really learn a lot from Christie. Such a talent is so rare. The answer of the everlasting question of every single criminal novel- who is the killer will bother until the very end of the book. When you finally find out, you won't believe it for sure. Trust me!

This is the copy I first read. I maintain it with love, so it is still looking like a new today.

Lovely review! Congrats on Review of the day. I'm not sure I've ever read this though I enjoyed the old movie. I think I might have to put it on my list now. Time for some Agatha Christie. Thanks for sharing this.

Congratulations on Review of the Day! I love mysteries, and the very first ones I ever read were the Nancy Drew series, when I was just a kid. They've always stayed in my mind too, so I understand your feeling for your first mystery.
